Yes, we are grateful for the pioneers making it to UT. This past 24th we had a great 4 day weekend in Yellowstone. Brad usually goes up in the winter for some hardcore snowmobiling , but this time we hit the park during the summer. we had a blast and have lots of pix. I was really impressed with the park.

The idea is to take so many pix so that others wont have to go because we have the whole place on film! haha

I am lucky to have a husband that is patient with my picture taking.

Dragons Mouth

Lots of fun.

The park is huge! Is it an obsession when someone takes over 300 pix?

We had a great time! And I am sad to be home!

New haircut!

So ive been really patient with my impulse of ALWAYS wanting to get my hair done. Im a hairstylist! its what I do. After 3 weeks of having no flat iron and no way to calm my crazy curls I finally could bear the hair no more! Alyssa Skinner a mish companion, is I think the best at doing hair! I snuck in today and had a complete make over. The do is a typical bob but it has 3 differnt colors running through my mane with underlying blonde chunks! Love it. I also had a rooster tail put in that is very discreet but fun if I want to have a fun weekend do!
I feel like a girl again! whoo hoo!

This past weekend Brad's mom Michelle had a dessert walk with her ward. She asked me for some tips and sweet receipes so we got together and had a great time eating more sugar then what one person really should consume. We had a great time and 150 people came by and had our goodies. A few other homes also had deserts to share. I thought it was a great idea esp. since it was so nice and cool outside. This is my favorite thing! Yes, it is a GIANT cupcake. I bought a two peice mold from LINENS and THINGS and it works great for parties, RS center peices and birthdays. Any flavor and decorations and any frosting.

I promise the post will slow down once I get a life, new job, friends and the desire to go to the gym. Right now the blogging is what keeps me from not wanting to die. haha. just kidding?

Lagoon Weekend.

IM a nerd. Lagoon has a rafting ride that was alot of fun. We got soaked! and I know that people wished they looked like me in a white wet t-shirt. OWWW. haha?

I liked this pix.
Some  fun rides that we went on. The white one is the rocket. They shoot you up in the air and let you drop. It was awsome.
This is a fun pix of a birds eye view of the people down below us playing in the water.

Lagoon Weekend.

My cute hubby went with me to Lagoon. We had a blast and I was impressed with alot of the rides giving me quite a toss!  We are on the huge ferris wheel checking out the park in this pix. It was a great view and we even went to the water park and did some swimming in the nasty germ infessed waters. So many people in a small water park.

Brad is posing as a rocket man. haha

Sunday drive adventures in Big cottonwood canyon

So Brad loves going on sunday drives. He calls them adventures because we drive for hours through INCREDIBLE country and get to guess turns to see where the road actually goes. We have gone on many of these adventures but this past sunday was one of the closest to a real adventure. We love getting out and taking pix, but as we got back into his poor jeep (that barely makes it up to the top of the mountains), his jeep wouldn't start!!! We were stranded on the top of a HUGE mountain all by ourselves. HAHA I just laughed and laughed thinking that this would have been a great time to have some kind of family or friends that didn't have to drive an hour from Provo to rescue us. Brad was trying to see what could be the problem under the hood, but it was his brillant wife( who doesnt know how to lift the car hood) that suggested that we push the car onto more even ground. Wouldn't you know the car started!. The gas I guess wasn't getting to the engine which kept the jeep from starting. It was quite a close call but we survived being stranded on the tippy top of a huge mountain still covered in snow!!!!

Brad was covered in grease from playing in his engine so we pulled over and got some snow to wash his hands with. Brad is still trying to figure out how to wear flip flops without killing himself so he made me clime the ravine to get the snow. This is a pix of me throwing snow at the end of July in UT.

This is Brads jeep. His plans are to drive it till it dies then get a new car. We named the Jeep Lucious. My truck's name is Morpheous named after the black guy on Matrix. Its a black truck. haha.

Boston... MORE THAN A FEELING!

So Boston came to wendover, which is a little gambling outlet right on the border of NV and UT. Its a two hour drive from SLC, west. SO those people who cant live without waisting their money can drive just a small distance and gamble their lives away. Brad and I thought it would be fun to see Boston since both of us grew up listening to them. I have great memories out on the water at lake Powell blaring the old classics like Boston, styx, and more. Also waking up to them on Saturday mornings cleaning the house to these groups.
We went and had a great time. We had the best seats and yes!, we were the youngest ones their. A bunch of old people trying to act like... not old people. Dancing and cheering, it was quite disturbing some times. Imagine it!
This is a picture of the salt flats that went on for miles and miles! this is the spot where clips from the movies " Independence Day" and "Pirates of the Carribean" were filmed.
The stage was small and the theater only sat 1,000 people. I like the smaller theater size. It felt like a big club then a concert. Bostons lead singer committed sucide a year ago, because of sever depression but other than him and the Base player the group is still in tact. They are old and wrinkly! The main guitarist even had a knee brace on because he hurt his knee performing for so long.

"Wendover Will" welcomes us to the small town of NV. Don't make me live here ever!

Boondocks... family fun, or a chance to compete against eachother!

Brad is in most of the pix becuase well he looks better than me! he has last 170 lbs and is still dropping. Hes lost almost a whole me!
We tied at goofy golf! I always win, so I tought a tie would be okay.

We played in the arcade for a bit. Brad was awsome at this shooting range! he hit most targets.

I love the weekends!

Brad has this horrendous week schedule. He works full time until one in the morning and then he wakes up early to go to full time school 6 days a week. I see him in the a.m. for an hour maybe two if I am lucky and that is it! So, the weekends we party and have a ton of fun together. This weekend we went to Boondocks. A local fun place with goofy golf, bumper boats, race cars, arcade and lazer tag. We spent a good part of Saturday playing and competing with every event we did. Brad 3 times whooped me on the race track. He even spun me around and jammed me into the rail so that i was stuck for most of the race. I came in last.
I soaked Brad head to toe in the bumper boats though. I had this nifty spray gun that sprayed lower and harder than anyones. I rocked!

Great times with the family, Cornado Cali. 2008

Grandma Killian with BrookieWe had pizza on the beach. It has been fun to have everyone here!

Happy Forth of July. I take pix of everything but I thought this was so cute!
I did a ton of hair while in Calli. It was fun and all of them turned out cute.

Brad was able to make the trip and we had so much fun with him. We are glad that he made it over.
